Freedom of the Fairways Offer

The Freedom of the Fairways Adult and Senior golf passports are available for 3 and 5 days and offer great value for playing golf on up to 21 of the Borders area golf courses.

The 3 Day Golf Passport - up to 6 rounds of golf over 3 consecutive weekdays.

The 5 Day Golf Passport - up to 10 rounds of golf over 5 consecutive weekdays.

Weekend Golf - any golf played on Saturday or Sunday will normally require the exchange of 2 Freedom of the Fairways vouchers for one round of golf.

Seniors Golf Passports - Golfers over the age of 55 years are now able to purchase 3 or 5 day Senior Golf Passports which allows for one round of golf per day over the 3 or 5 consecutive weekdays. The Seniors Pass does not allow for golf over the weekends and any golf required over Saturday and Sunday would require the purchase of a full Adult Pass.

Additional Costs
Please note that the championship courses of Roxburghe near Kelso and Cardrona near Peebles charge a supplement per player per round which is payable directly to the golf club on arrival.

1.   The hotel can purchase them for you. You must have made your accommodation booking at the hotel. You must advise the hotel that you require us to purchase the Passports for you advising how many and whether 3 or 5 days Adults of Seniors. The full value of the passes must be pre-paid to the hotel at least 4 weeks prior to arrival; please note this payment also acts as a deposit guarantee of your accommodation booking. We will then purchase the passes to ensure they are at the hotel for your arrival. Please note we will in all circumstances require the names and full postal addresses of all players requiring a passport.
2.   Online through Visit Scottish Borders.
3.   Phone (within UK) 0870 6070250 and pay for your passport by credit card. We accept Visa & Mastercard.
4.   Once you arrive in the Scottish Borders you can purchase a Freedom of the Fairways Golf Passport at any of our nine Tourist Information Centres.
5.   Purchases can be made by post from Visit Scottish Borders and you will need to request the appropriate passport, the quantity required and the names and addresses of all players and send along with cheque made payable to Visit Scottish Borders for the full value of the order to:
